The North Saskatchewan River Basin Council (NSRBC) is a non-profit organization that has formed to support and direct the implementation of the Source Water Protection Plan for North Saskatchewan River Watershed. As part of the Lake Winnipeg Basin Fund, the NSRBC partnered with 3 other local watersheds to monitor water quality trends for upper tributaries of the Saskatchewan River System. Water quality field data is collected at each site along with water samples, which are sent for lab analysis. The goal of this project is to collect data on nutrient loading in the Saskatchewan River Basin and increase public awareness of the effects from nutrient loading to our river systems.
