The Prince Edward Island Department of Environment, Water and Climate Change conducts monitoring under several surface water monitoring programs in order to report on water quality to the public of Prince Edward Island. Sampling is carried out across the province and represents a range of land use. Results from both long-term and short-term sampling programs are included. Water quality data is collected by grab samples, submitted to the Standards Council of Canada accredited PEI Analytical Laboratories, and/or by calibrated multi-parameter meters. Some of this data is collected as part of the Canada-PEI Water Agreement. This data may also be accessed at its original source https://www.princeedwardisland.ca/en/service/view-surface-water-quality
