The Sea-Bird Thermosalinograph 21 (SN 3103) was deployed on 2001-03-22 on Tsawwassen - Swartz Bay Ferry Route. This ferry route goes between Tsawwassen terminal in Vancouver, BC and the Swartz Bay terminal, Victoria BC. This device is a Thermosalinograph. Thermosalinographs collect data from the sea surface via flow-through systems on vessels. Typically they are mounted near the front of the vessel in order to minimize contamination.
